Arusha National Park Day Trip

Introduction

Arusha National Park is one of the smaller parks of Tanzania and is a popular destination for day trips due to its proximity to Moshi and Arusha. Despite its size, the park offers a spectacular landscape and a diverse wildlife population. Arusha national park includes the slopes, summit and ash cone of mount meru which is the second highest peak in Tanzania having 4566 m above sea level; also there are other various physical features.

Location

Arusha national park is located in Arusha city actually it is the closest national park to Arusha city. It is 80km from Moshi urban which is a one and a half hour drive from Moshi town. Arusha national park covers 137km2

Attractions

Arusha national park has a vast of attractions within it which include the wildlife, animals and plant species, mount meru, momela lakes which are sites for flamingo, various water streams running within the park and ngurudoto crater. Also the plains which known as ‘Small Serengeti’ within Arusha national park are one of the astonishing attractions

Activities

In Arusha national park the following activities will be conducted; Game viewing, bird watching, walking safaris.

The activities will take about 10hours from 0800 hours in the morning to 1700 hours in the evening.
